SolSun Call for Action: Dec. 1

**Thursday 12/1**

1. We have been advised that the most effective calls to make re: Standing Rock are to the Army Corps of Engineers:

Call the Army Corps to DENY the easement to drill under Lake Oahe and order a full Environmental Impact Statement

Contact information: Jo-Ellen Darcy, Assistant Secretary of Army (Civil Works)
(703) 697-8986
(202) 761-8700.

"Hello, my name is __________, and I’m calling on behalf of the water protectors at Standing Rock Reservation. I ask that you DENY the easement to drill under Lake Oahe and that you ORDER a full environmental survey. The pipeline is not only a violation of tribal treaty rights, but it has the potential to cause more damage to sacred land. The long term impact of the pipeline on the area water must be considered. I urge you to revoke or deny all easements until full and meaningful tribal consultation has occurred."

2. Contact the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and let them know that you support Sen. Elizabeth Warren's request for an audit of Trump's finances/potential conflicts of interest.

Contact: Katherine Siggerud
(202) 512-4400

James-Christian Blockwood
(202) 512-4707

General: (202) 512-3000

Emails (send as one email w/ these in BCC):

"I'm writing in support of Senator Elizabeth Warren's request for an audit of our incoming President Elect's finances, to prohibit conflicts of interest that would prevent him from carrying out the responsibilities of the office without corrupt influence."

3. Today is World AIDS Day. We encourage you to publicly honor the lives + legacies of anyone you've lost to HIV/AIDS, and, if possible, to make a donation to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, amfAR, or another organization that works to support those living with HIV/AIDS, or works to find a cure.
